How To Sleep With Curly Hair

Hair Care
not like this!!

Before going fully natural, I couldn’t understand how girls would wake up with luscious curls day after day. I wet my hair every morning to achieve the same dried up wet poodle look. I wasn’t great at styling either. I went to sleep only to wake up with flat curls, dents, and frizzy hair. That was until I discovered the following tips that helped preserve my curls. Here are 3 easy ways to sleep with curly hair 🙂

This is the ‘Pineapple Hair’

1. Pineapple Hair

The pineapple hairstyle is flipping your dry hair all the way over and using scrunchies or a dent free spiral twister to secure. The spiral twisters are my absolute fave! You can stretch them enough to fit your hair and they leave zero dents.

2. Silk bonnet or silk pillowcase

Sleeping on a satin pillowcase or using a silk bonnet will help retain moisture and reduce frizz.  Silk is friction-free and your hair will glide on your pillowcase no matter how much you toss and turn.

3. Loose Bun

If your hair is long and you find that you are still sleeping on your pineapple hair, try a loose bun at the crown of your head. Since your hair is more contained in a bun, you may lose some definition. You can always refresh with some water and a little bit of the product you used to style.

Sweet Dreams!
